With the rise of reality TV, online social networks, all kinds of people are looking for their 15 minutes and trying to cash in. Now that we have the rise in user-generated video as a source of entertainment the web is awash with all kinds of videos from all kinds of people. You have all probably heard of YouTube but have you heard of YawpBox? User generated video, once just the domain of AFV on TV, has risen to a form of entertainment with people gathered around the computer watching videos on YouTube or the like.
YawpBox is a place to share your life experiences with everyone else in the world, and keep those experiences cataloged on your own personal profile. You can find other people who have had similar experiences, and show all of your fellow "Yawpers" the things you have done.
The cool thing about YawBox is that in 2008 YawpBox TV will take this content and use it in a live television show. YawpBoxTV will be a 30 minute weekly "magazine style" show that will be filmed before a live studio audience! YawpBoxTV will be the first television show where the content is completely generated by the users of a social networking site. The show will be hosted by two guys named Lex and Terry. They will view and discuss popular user uploaded videos from YawpBox.com and introduce the world to the people behind the videos. Are you looking to get your 15 minutes of fame? If so start posting videos to YawpBox.com and find out if yours will make the cut.
Lex & Terry give out a homework assignment, the Lex & Terry Challenge, on the nation wide radio show and TV show directing their audience to create content on a specific topic like tattoos or have you ever had a mullet. These categories can be viewed under the Lex & Terry challenge section of the site and you can upload your videos to the site for the topics.
To me this seems like it is a pretty cool mash up of YouTube and America's Funniest Videos. YawpBox will allow the average person to create footage for huge Internet audiences as well as for TV. So if you are into YouTube you should check out YawpBox and upload and share some of your life. You never know you might just be able to parlay that into your 15 minutes and maybe even become a celebrity.

I came across this site ChristianFaithFinancial.com. They have a little cross in the logo, and a scripture in the top right corner of the header. They say they will help you the "Christian" way and they will do that with "Christian" financial assistance. You can get money for anything: paying bills, emergencies, rent, or even taking a vacation? I personally think that last part is a stretch, though the first parts are too once you look further into the site.
So exactly what is ChristianFaithFinancial.com? What makes it Christian and is what they do really done in the Christian way they say they will do it? Well to answer the first questions ChristianFaithFinancial.com is simply a payday loans site. In fact to put it exactly ChristianFaithFinancial.com
This is not a credit application. Christian Faith Financial is a financial matching service - matching prospective borrowers with prospective lenders.
So to answer my second question lets look at the whole site. Other than their main page with the "application", a FAQ page, and a policy page their isn't anything to the site. Other than the domain name and the few references in the header I can't find anything that I would say makes it Christian. I guess you just have to take their word for it. I personally don't think a payday loan is the Christian way to loan money. I don't find the practice in the Bible. So as not to drag this on, I don't see how the Christian aspect is anything other than window dressing and a bit of disingenious marketing.
I guess if you are in need of payday loan the site is fine. I'm sure it is probably a great service to match you up with several offers for payday loans. What it is not is Christian financial assistance. If that is what you are looking for you should move on.

Driving Traffic to your website is most likely all that is on your mind. You have a GREAT product, or all you need to do is send traffic to your affiliate page and BAM their ingenious marketing will turn your traffic into a sale.
Simple? Not Quite.
The Pay-Per-Click method of advertising can cost you a ridiculous amount of money. If you don't do your research on keywords, you're a goner. However, if done right PPC can be the most efficient way to drive traffic to your site.
For those of you who want to put more time into your online business, the BEST way to drive traffic to your site is exactly this. Write ARTICLES in your area of expertise. Submit them to both print and online media that would be interested in your article. For example, an expert internet marketer, would submit his/her articles to the numerous forums or article websites out there. The most important part is NOT to self advertise in your article. Information is key. However
,you should always include your Web site, along with your name and company name at the end of the article. That way prospects are directed to your Web site for more information.
If you have your own personal website, make sure to update your content DAILY, and make sure you have it looked at by a professional in your field. You don't want to be wasting your time trying to get traffic when your site is hurtful to the eye :P
If your promoting an affiliate website, do your best to partner up with the one(s) that have the highest conversion rates.
Research, Research, Research!
Web site publicity is critical for your business, and the time and effort involved will lead to increased traffic to your site. Your efforts may not be visible at first, but believe me, if you learn the right tools and stick with a few things, it WILL PAY OFF.

I know a lot of people that use just google or just yahoo when doing a search. This can limit your results as each engine tends to rank sites differently and therefore your results can vary greatly from one to the other. I know for me, since the google PR drop due to sponsored links, that now my pages rank much higher in yahoo than they used to and lower in google. No one search engine has a monopoly on the "best" results.
EarthFrisk.Org is the worlds first hybrid meta-community Search Engine. I have to be honest I am just a bit leery on their social ranking procedure, but it has worked well for Digg and others who allow users to "digg" or "bury" sites and combining this with hybrid results of the top search engines will bring a nice balance to the results. I noticed right away that already the searches I did seem to have superior results by combining the very best of Ask, Google, Yahoo and MSN's Live! I did a search on google, yahoo, and ask and visited the top 5 results on each to do a subjective personal judge on relevance. I then search for the same term on EarthFrisk and found that the top 5 were a combination of google and yahoo and 3 spammy sites were not shown. The way Earthfrisk works helps weed out the spam sites.
Another really cool feature beneficial to all of us bloggers is that they also interface with Digg, the undisputed king of social news sites, as well as StumbleUpon, Wikipedia and more. Well it looks like AGLOCO has finally thrown in the towel. I received this status update email just a few minutes ago from the AGLOCO Development Team. I have been waiting for this email for quite some time as the site growth and traffic have been dropping drastically for a long time. I personally never used their adbar except for twice right after launch when it didn't work.

We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO's operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. I know coming from the area I am from there are a lot of farmers and other folks that have leased portions of their land for cell towers.
